    San Francisco, Ca - Jill Trotta, VP of Sales & Industry at RepairPal, has been featured in aftermarketNews' second annual class of Women at the Wheel 2021. The class is a result of nominations submitted in the automotive aftermarket, of exceptional women who are leaders, dominators, and innovators in a field that is historically male-driven.

    Women now hold more than half of management roles in the aftermarket but less than 10% hold senior or top executive positions.  Jill Trotta, VP of Sales & Industry at RepairPal, breaks the mold. Jill has been a technician, service advisor, service manager, parts director, and shop owner. She started in automotive in the ’90s with a broken Volkswagon Bug, and a healthy curiosity about how she might go about fixing it herself.  She is now recognized as an automotive industry expert, with over 25 years experience and expertise. Jill is also Mexican-American and openly lesbian, and despite the challenges that queer women of color in automotive face every day, she has created a successful path for herself and many others.  As part of acknowledging her unique contributions to the industry, she also received Auto Care Association’s Women of Excellence award in 2017.  

    Jill not only leads our sales team, but also our certification team - evaluating auto repair shops for high-quality and fair prices, helping to bring trust and transparency into auto repair. Her extensive automotive expertise is highly recognized; she is regularly featured in articles, podcasts, webinars, and speaking engagements. Furthermore, she represents the diversity the automotive industry needs; I have personally witnessed her create space for other LGBTQIA people and women of color to succeed.  We are proud to have such a great influence on this team, and I am honored to work alongside her every day.
